The next generation of turbidity sensors coming soon...ITM-51

Instek Control • February 26, 2018

The ITM-51 will replace the ITM-3. This sensor will be available in March 2018. The attention and feedback on the new turbidity sensor is enormous! Don't miss out on this flexible and modular sensor.

Modular Relative Turbidity Meter ITM-51. The ITM-51 is the direct successor of the ITM3. As a backscatter turbidity meter with a wide measurement range it is designed for high turbidity applications as well as for low turbidity monitoring.

» Target applications
▪ phase separation products (whey-cream-milk)
▪ separator control
▪ yeast harvest in breweries
▪ quality control
▪ leakage control of filters, gasket, valves

» Value sell
▪ extend measurement range (200…300.000 NTU equivalent)
▪ extended temperature / pressure range
▪ measurement category selectable (%TU, NTU, EBC, %solids)
▪ on-site calibration check

» NTU equivalent turbidity measurement
▪ extended range (0… 300.000 NTU, 0…200%)
• effective measurement starts at 200 NTU
• 10 times lower than ITM-3
▪ formazine equivalent factory calibration

New application: separator skids for craft breweries inlet and outlet control for a better separator performance

» extended temperature range
▪ -10…130°C permanent (up to 140°C for 120 min)
▪ newest LED technology with temp. rating 125°C
▪ extended lifetime

New application: phase transition monitoring in high temperature application like UHT

» measurement category selectable
▪ NTU, %TU, EBC, customized %solids
▪ based on formazine equivalent factory calibration

New feature: choosable measurement category offers broader range of applications, - phase transition %TU - brewery application EBC - waste water monitoring % solids

» on-site calibration check
▪ calibration check tool
▪ offset and span adjustable

New feature: on-site quality / performance control basic for reliable measurement

When it comes to a brewery, you clean to prevent the transfer of tastes from one beer to the next, and you clean to help assure your product is safe for human consumption. In the face of increasing supply and demand, brewing plants are compelled to keep the cost of production as low as possible, without sacrificing safety and quality of the end-product.
